RainkissedRags Leopold of Masterpiece Ragdolls

“Leopold the Lynx” is our first ever stud, from Prufrock of Masterpiece Ragdolls.  He is a blue lynx mitted.  His mother is a lilac lynx named Caroline of Masterpiece Ragdolls, so he carries chocolate and dilute.  This means when he is paired with a female who also carries chocolate and dilute, that they can have chocolate and lilac babies.  It takes 2 copies of chocolate and 2 copies of dilute to make lilac babies.  The dilute gene is what changes seal to blue, and chocolate to lilac.  Leo is such a “pretty boy” that he almost looks too pretty to be a boy!  He is a big boy with great bunny soft fur.  Leo absolutely loves making biscuits and being close to us whenever possible.  He really seems to adore my husband, Jeff.  Leo’s father Prufrock comes from the same cattery as Mr. Bennett, WillowTreeRags in MA.  Since Leo is mitted, this means that when paired with a colorpoint such as Hazel, he can produce mitted and colorpoint babies.  But when paired with a bicolor such as Ivy and Iris, he can produce bicolor and mitted babies.  Both of Leo’s parents are lynxes so this means a high percentage of his babies are expected to be lynxes as well.  The lynx pattern is also known as the tabby pattern, and it means the cat displays “white eyeliner” under the eyes and stripes around the face, legs, and on the tail.  It typically means they have a lighter nose pad as well, although I did have a seal lynx once who kept her black nose pad which was rare.  Leo has a cute little pink nose pad, typical of a lighter colored lynx.  Lynxes have ear tufts as well and white fur on the inside of their ears.  Leo is still young and as he matures, his ears will relax and lay down more to the sides.  We are excited to see the gorgeous babies that Leo brings to our cattery!

RainkissedRags Ivy

Ivy is a traditional seal bicolor who carries chocolate and dilute.  Ivy is a big girl with a soft, bunny like coat of fur.  Ivy has a longer body type with the cutest little meow.  She loves to give head butts and is super close with my young adult son who lives with us.  She loves to purr and play, and her father is champion Mr. Bennett of Masterpiece Ragdolls (from WillowTreeRags).  I do believe when people think of Ragdolls, they often picture bicolors in their minds.  Ivy is an excellent example of a bicolor and of the breed!  Ivy’s mother was our gorgeous Trixie, our foundation queen, who is now retired and living her best life!  Ivy inherited her mother’s beauty for sure and she is also a lighter shaded seal cat.  Some seals have much darker coats, while hers is quite light.  This is not surprising to us since Trixie was a very light shade of chocolate.  We are so excited to see the gorgeous kittens that Ivy is sure to have with our boy Leopold the lynx!  The pairing will produce traditional Ragdoll kittens in:  seal, blue, chocolate, and lilac in the patterns of bicolor, mitted, and lynx!  As of February 2025, Ivy has not any litters as she just turned 1 in early January.

RainkissedRags Iris of Masterpiece Ragdolls

Iris is a traditional blue bicolor girl from Masterpiece Ragdolls, and her mother is Mrs. Bennett.  We affectionately call her “Bunny” because she has shorter legs and the floofiest coat we’ve ever seen on any of our Ragdolls!  Her fur is truly the softest and feels very much like a bunny’s coat.  She is a solid and sturdy little girl as well!  She loves to follow me around everywhere and flops right down at my feet.  She also loves to rest her front paws/legs on me, she is very ladylike with how she snuggles with me sometimes, but she is also not afraid to climb right up on my chest and lie down on me.  Iris is still young but once she’s old enough, we can’t wait to see the poofballs she has with Leo our lynx!  Since they are both blue, and since she does not carry chocolate, all of their babies would be blue.  The possible patterns would include bicolor, mitted, and lynx.

RainkissedRags Opal of Masterpiece Ragdolls

Opal is a blue mink tortie who carries chocolate, and is also genetically a colorpoint Ragdoll.  Opal came to us from Masterpiece Ragdolls and she was one of the last minks from one of the last mink litters they produced.  Opal is a very large girl with beautiful green eyes and she loves to purr constantly!  She will flop down on her back for belly rubs, just like a dog!  Opal has very cool and unique markings, for example one hind leg is dark while the other is white.  Since Opal is a tortie we can look forward to cream and flame babies, as well as more torties.  We may even get a flame mink!  When paired with a boy who carries chocolate, we can also have chocolate and lilac babies.  They say with torties, to have no expectations of how the kittens will turn out so I suppose just about anything is possible!  Opal turned 1 yr. old in early October 2024 and has not had any litters yet.  Her mother is Shug of Masterpiece Ragdolls, a beautiful traditional lilac/cream tortie.  Also I don’t see much “tortitude” with Opal, she is a super sweet and super floppy girl!

RainkissedRags Hazel of Masterpiece Ragdolls

Hazel is our seal mink and is a half sister to Opal, our blue mink tortie.  As of May 2025 minks will be referred to as Cheribum.  Hazel has an extremely sweet, friendly personality.  She loves to get up on my chest and rub her face against me, and make “biscuits.”  She will happily lay on my chest and purr.  I love her deep brown coat and aqua blue eyes.  Hazel’s parents both had very good temperaments which they passed down to her.  Also both of her parents are colorpoint Ragdolls so naturally she also is a colorpoint.  Hazel was one of the last mink kittens that Masterpiece Ragdolls produced from their King Vicar.  We’re very excited to see what beautiful kittens will result from pairing her with Leopold, our blue lynx mitted boy!  The pairing will produce traditional and mink kittens in blue and seal colors.  The possible patterns will include mitted, colorpoint, and lynx.
